Your Questions, Answered
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've never done it before, or if you've been in spaces where you didn't feel fully seen. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The first session is a 15 minute free consultation call. It’s a welcoming, no-pressure conversation where you can share why you’re here. While our practice has a special focus on supporting Black, Muslim, and racialized women, we welcome anyone who feels that our approach is a good fit for them. What matters most is that you feel safe and supported here.

Culturally responsive therapy means your therapist understands that your mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum; it's shaped by your culture, your community, your faith, and your lived experience. At Ebla, you won't have to spend your session explaining your background or defending your values. That context is already built into how we work.
-
Absolutely. Faith and spirituality are welcome in every session. For many of our clients, their relationship with God or their spiritual practice is a central part of who they are and that belongs in the therapy room too. We work in a way that integrates rather than compartmentalizes.
-
Sessions are $160. A sliding scale is available starting at $100, and $125 for students. We believe cost shouldn't be the reason someone can't access care; reach out before booking if you'd like to discuss options.
-

-
Yes. If you’d like, I can integrate faith and spirituality into our sessions. If that’s not something you want, we’ll focus on a more secular approach. The direction is always guided by your preferences.
-
Your first session is simply a chance to connect. You'll share a little about what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to have it figured out. We go at your pace. Before your session, you'll receive a short intake form to help us make the most of our time together.
