Our Story

Ebla Therapy & Consulting is a private psychotherapy and mental wellness practice based in Ontario, Canada. Founded by Hodan Osman, a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) with over a decade of experience in the mental health and non-profit sectors, Ebla Therapy & Consulting provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and faith-integrated therapy for women and families.

At Ebla, we believe that healing begins when individuals feel seen, heard, and supported without shame. Our services are grounded in compassion and collaboration, offering a safe, non-judgmental space for racialized, immigrant, and Muslim women to explore their emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being.

The name “Ebla” is deeply personal. It is both inspired by the Somali phrase “ceeb la” (عيب لا), which means “without shame,” and is the name of Hodan’s grandmother, Ebla—a woman remembered for her fierce independence, courage, and refusal to be silenced. Rooted in this meaning and legacy, Ebla Therapy & Consulting creates a culturally grounded, compassionate space where clients can heal and grow without fear or stigma.
